Umugini Pipeline Infrastructure Limited (UPIL), a pipeline company that constructed a 51.4km pipeline from Umusadege to Eriemu for injecting crude into the Trans-Forcados Pipeline, has since  commencing operations embarked on various schemes that deliver enduring progress to the indigenes of its host communities. UPIL thus constantly seeks ways to invest in their communities’ human capital for the economic development of the communities and Delta State.

Scholarship Projects

Award of scholarship for both university and secondary school categories to deserving students who maintain a high level of academic excellence, and it is renewed annually. The Scholarship Scheme aims to promote academic excellence and improve the skill-based among youths of our host communities and Delta State in general.

It also creates opportunities for the youths to choose a career and focus more on developing their talents towards a good living. Our CSR strategies have supported the development of schools and the consistent yearly scholarship awards given to students at different levels. UPIL’s vision of maintaining a friendly environment by helping to shape the lives of youths/children in the host communities drives commitment to educational development.

Community Development​

Other Implemented programs include employment opportunities for host communities, award of contracts to community contractors, sustainable environmental projects, and poverty alleviation through job creation.

The company has achieved a good working relationship with its host communities through the engagement of community members to provide security and other services, as well as improving the socio-economic lives of the host communities through the implementation of community-nominated development projects annually.

UPIL Distributes Palliative to Host Community in Delta State

Umugini Pipeline Infrastructure Limited (UPIL) has once again shown itself to be a forward-thinking and socially responsible company when the company delivered food palliatives to the people of the Eriemu community to cushion the effect of the lockdown occasioned by COVID-19.

The food items distributed include 29 bags of 50kg rice, 13 bags of 100kg beans, 2,450 pieces of protective masks, and 4,200 pieces of surgical gloves. Speaking on the palliatives distribution, the Managing Director of UPIL, Dr. Blessing Ayemhere, said the organization decided to complement the efforts of the Federal Government and Delta State Government to alleviate the sufferings of the people of their Host Community due to the lockdown in the State.

UPIL is a Pipeline Infrastructure company that handles and transports stabilized crude oil on behalf of other oil and gas producing companies to crude oil terminal facilities downstream.

UPIL Renovates Classrooms and Toilets in Delta School On Thursday, the 13th of February, 2020, Umugini Pipeline Infrastructure Limited (UPIL) commissioned a block of three classrooms at Agbaide Primary School, Agbarha, Delta State, Nigeria. In his welcome address, the Head Teacher Agbaide-Gana Primary School Agbarha-Otor, Comrade Vincent Lucky, commended the Chairman of Umugini Pipeline Infrastructure Limited (UPIL), Dr. Blessing Ayemhere, and the board of directors of the company for their commitment to enhancing the standard of basic education in the State.
