Engr. Gbesimi Daultry Akperiholds B.Eng (Mechanical Engineering) and M.Eng (Industrial Engineering) degrees from University of Benin, Nigeria. He also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Development from Cambridge University and Post Graduate Diploma in Conflict Resolutionfrom Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution in Canada.

A veteran in the oil industry, Engr. Akperi’s other experience include Head Mechanical Engineering Department in Petroleum Training Institute, Training Technician and Technologist for the oil industry, Director Maintenance and Works PTI, Field Engineer in Schlumberger with exposure in exploration in Cameroun, Congo and Paris, Equipment and Machinery Maintenance in Production Department of SPDC and Western Operation Instructor in Shell Training Centre, Port Harcourt.

He was Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State on Petroleum Matters between 2001 and 2007 and a Commissioner in the ‘Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission’ DESOPADEC, 2009 – 2010. Engr. Akperi is a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and serves in the Board of Council for The Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

He is currently the CEO of Jeteg Resources Limited.
